Rotterdam's Most Sustainable Office Unveiled

The building on the Coolsingel will become a modern, smart, and sustainable office building for multiple tenants with an area of approximately 30,000 square meters. ABN AMRO has signed a lease agreement for a new bank office on the ground floor and a portion of the office building.

Most sustainable building in Rotterdam

The redevelopment aligns with the increasing demand for high-quality and sustainable office space in Rotterdam and is in line with the bank's goal to make all its own offices fully Paris proof by 2030.

With high ESG ratings, circular construction techniques, and innovative energy systems, the fully redeveloped building will become the most sustainable building on the Rotterdam market, with a BREEAM 'Excellent' and WELL Platinum certification and an A++++ energy label.

A new design

The new design by Paul de Ruiter Architects will be used to better integrate the building with the surrounding structures on the Coolsingel. The current closed facade on the renewed Coolsingel will be made accessible and transparent again.

Preliminary schedule

The redevelopment will start in the fall of 2023, with the expected completion in early 2025.
